New Skating Director – Shelley Douglas
We are proud to announce that our new Skating Director is Shelley Douglas. Shelley comes to us with a wealth of coaching and skating experience. We are thrilled to welcome her to Figure 8 Skating Club. Here is more information about Shelley.
- National Coach Certified, partial High Performance
- Over 25 years coaching experience
- Skate Canada Skills Evaluator
- Base Level Technical Specialist (BLTO) – in training
- Hockey Skating Skills Coordinator experience
- Bachelor of Science – Kinesiology, diploma in Manual Osteopathic Therapy
Personal Achievements:
- Coach/Choreographer of provincial and national level skaters
- Coached skaters from beginner to Gold and Senior competitive singles
- Alberta Winter Games Coach 2006 & 2016
- Former Senior competitive skater and national competitor
- Senior Competitive Singles, Junior Competitive Dance
- Quad Gold (Freeskate, Skills, Dance, Artistic)
