What to Expect at Skating

Figure 8 Skating Club is committed to ensure that all regulations are followed so that skating remains a safe activity for your child to stay fit and active while having fun.

Skate Canada Waiver
Prior to participating, all skaters must fill out a Skate Canada Waiver and email it to info@figure8skating.ca (preferred) or bring it to the first day of class. Skaters will not be able to participate without a waiver.

Health Screen
All participants will be required to submit a health screen each day they come to class. The health screen will be completed online, and the link is available on our website under Health Screen. The submission of the health screen will be checked by a volunteer before the skater will be able to participate.

What to Expect at Skating
There are new guidelines to follow in addition to the above. Please read through this document very carefully:

Volunteer Requirements

The Figure 8 Skating Club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The success of the Club depends on the volunteer efforts of members. Volunteering in the club is a great opportunity to learn about the sport of figure skating and how the club runs, as well as a great way to meet other club members and have a good time while helping out. It is mandatory for every family with skaters registered in PreSTAR, PreSTAR Academy, Adult Learn to Figure Skate or STARSkate to volunteer 12 credits and assist with Fundraising. You will be able to pick your positions when you register online.
