Board Position Descriptions

President – speaks on behalf of the board, attends Skate Canada meetings, chairs board meetings and AGM, has signing authority 

Vice President – carries out the duties of the President in their absence, has signing authority 

Treasurer – maintains accounting records, prepares financial reports and budgets, presents financial reports at meetings, has signing authority

Secretary – maintains Skate Canada memberships and board records, files annual return

Program Coordinator – coordinates the ice contract process with the City of Edmonton, enters programs into registration system, reports registration numbers 

Volunteer Coordinator – determines, manages and assigns volunteer roles, communicates the duties and responsibilities to each volunteer, answers volunteer questions, tracks volunteer fulfillment

Assessment Coordinator – coordinates assessment days including booking evaluator and coordinating volunteers, submits all skater assessments to Skate Canada, attends Skate Canada meetings

Casino & Fundraising Coordinator – organizes casino and other fundraising activities, researches and applies for grants, coordinates the casino, fundraising and grant writing volunteers

Communications & Marketing Director – coordinates the promotion of the club through social media, website and advertising, coordinates social media, website and marketing volunteers

Events Coordinator & Club Spirit – coordinates logistics and volunteers for club events such as Winter Gala, element events, awards ceremony and team building events, coordinates club apparel order

Coaching Representative – elected annually by coaches, provides coaches input at board meetings, makes suggestions on programming and events

General Member – attends board meetings and assists of board members on an ad hoc basis
